Tool Maintenance Workshop

Keeping your garden hand tools maintained makes gardening easier and saves you money by extending the life of your tools.

This Garden Tool Repair Day we are offering a maintenance  workshop so you can learn what you need to do to keep your garden tool in tip top shape.  This workshop will demonstrate  how to tune up your garden shovel and your loppers or pruners. We will discuss the basics of the mechanical parts of the tools, what makes a sharp edge, and the tools required to perform the job. We will also discuss other tools and methods of maintenance.

Space is limited to six people 13 and older.

The cost for this workshop is $10, it will be held during our Garden Tool Repair Day on Saturday May 7th, at Richard Gage Design Studio, 425 W 9 Mile Rd in Hazel Park. It will run from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. No power tools will be used. You can pay with cash when you arrive, or send $10 (or more if you are feeling generous!) to the our paypal by clicking the “DONATE” link just above this form.

Bring a sturdy pair of gloves and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.  We want you to leave this workshop with a tool ready to work with you in your garden as well as knowledge and confidence  to improve other neglected hand tools in your garden shed.
